We are not at a point where our human leaders and governments could be replaced by an artificial intelligence (AI) - not today and not in the next ten years. And if that happens, we will see the power is consolidated to those who already dominate the internet. Internet companies and political institutions will merge.
Star Trek introduced the utopia of United Federation of Planets. It is a fictional interstellar federal republic composed of numerous planetary sovereigns. Each member is under a single central authority based on the principles of universal liberty, rights, and equality, and to share their knowledge and resources in a peaceful cooperation and space exploration.
Mankind always tries to fulfill the utopia described by science fiction.
