We learn endurance from our parents

Runners need a lot of endurance. They can train for it to become better, but even for training you need endurance. Where do we get this initially?

A study "Infants make more attempts to achieve a goal when they see adults persist" found out, that children observe their parents. If they show endurance, the probability is higher that the child is copying this capability.
