One month ago I started a new 10km-training plan in preparation for the upcoming competitions in the fall of this year. Two weeks ago, I was offered to take part in a draw for start number for Berlin-Marathon.
Why not a 10km Run? There are only three tickets to win. The tickets for the most famous run in Germany!
Whatever, I want to win it. It's a precious price for an ambitious runner.
The only task was to post why I am the right person for the marathon.
For sure I am not the right person for marathon. It is not good for my health, it is crazy!
The three best answers will win the entry:
Let's try to win it. So I explained in three answers:
"I
am not a marathoner and it is not my favorite distance and I would
never ever spend so much money for one run. Even if it is Berlin, even
it is fast and the best.
But if it would be a free run that would change a lot. So let me think.
I
could manage the distance for sure although I have never done such a
distance. It is more or less 4 times longer in comparison to of my usual
runs.
Indeed it would be a new unique experience and I could write a big essay in my blog 10kmLauf about "surviving a marathon"."
"By the way within this month we finish the insane run event in this year: PCH2016. The first runner has only 500 Kilometers to run.
We have serena wooldridge on position 1 in Women-Leaderboard. For the Men-Leaderboard we see marckalbus on position 2 and last but not least me on position 3.
jose luis smidt will complete the full distance of the Pacific Coast Highway. That are 2737,47 KM. We started at 1.1.2016 and now after 7 months we finish.
This will be a course record.
So, Berlin marathon is cute in comparison to the Berlin event."
"Just went 2 HM in 2 days, so the distance is saved in my legs now.
So that fits for PB and may be for PBBNDIA (Personal Best But Never Did It Again).
It don't need a pacemaker, but an icemaker for my legs after finishing."
See tomorrow if with these answers I deserve a place for Berlin Marathon in the point of view of the organizers.
