Never do all these things in social media

Don't post several posts one day.
I post several posts a day just for fun and because I like writing. Read it or not, who cares?

Fire and forget. Most posts are intended to be read once and just on the day written. Nobody wants to read posts from last week.
What a pity. I try to adapt and to keep even older posts current. Over the years it will grow up to an singular repository for different target groups.

Never publish other foreign content -
Well I do it, if I like your tweets, blog posts, videos and tips!

Never write postings below 500 characters to be listed better at goole
Well I do it, no one has the time to read

Use pictures and videos. Nobody wants to read and images are eyecatcher.
Yes indeed, a picture can explain 1.000 words. But nobody needs 1.000 words.
We have to many pictures in our world. Our brain is full with pictures. Once a manager says to me, he must watch 200 hundred slides a day. Don't belief that he reminds every slide in his mind. But he will remember your explaining words if they were focused and precised.

Be authentic!
People like to get knowledge, statistics, wisdom and entertainment. Sometimes I put it all together, authenticity doesn't play a role here.

Be sensible and serious. Use complex sentences and scientific terms for your audience.
Keep it simple and stupid. Nobody feels attracted if is not able to follow your thoughts.

Follow back, if your are followed.
No, only if we really like to read the postings of the account.

Create fake networks and fake accounts to attract others (especially advertising and marketing companies)
Not with me. I am against doping of social media accounts.

Don't cooperate with companies.
Why not. As an ambassador in the past it helped a lot to test and improve the outstanding wearables of adidas I used for my daily running.

Advertise to earn money.
Earn your money with a serious job.

Don't write posts in English and in German. Decide for one language.
My 10kmLauf blog is multi cultural and inter-(national). Everyone will find a way to understand the  posts and I will try to understand your comments in your language.

Specialize on topic to address
Everything in our world is connected. We should not draw artificial borders. But one thing is clear, all topics in this blog are connected to sports.

Practice social skills: be polite, solve conflicts, be pleasant.
Nobody wants to read murky and negative thoughts.
That's nice but even the opposite is true: Practice anti social skills.

Copy successful approaches and translate tips from other social media accounts into your praxis
Never do this. Your approach must be unique and outstanding. If you are serving like the mainstream then change your strategy. Try something new and innovate with new ideas.
