Now there is no way back

SCC Events - the organizers - officially confirms today on 29.07.2016 my participation at the 43. BMW BERLIN-MARATHON 2016.
The registration was easy. But now 42 km I have to run - a hell.

I ordered a film of the marathon and me in main role. They guarantee that I will be seen on the video at least 16 times. Probably only if I manage to run until the end. I want to see how my smile vanishes with every 10 Kilometers.

Back to the registration process. There was a chance to order event shirts from adidas. Shall I really buy one and show everybody that I did the impossible. I don't want to animate more people to try this also. May be I think different after the event. And may be I do not think anymore.

Then I rented the ChampionChip for time measurement which I will receive together with your starting number at the Expo BERLIN VITAL at STATION Berlin (Luckenwalder Straße 4-6, 10963 Berlin).

So now I am officially a marathoner. I hate and love this for the moment. During registration they asked if it is my first marathon. And yes it is (of course). I can't provide an official time to them. With this answer I start from the end of the human queue.

The first kilometers are going to be slow and the service points for water and bananas might be overcrowded. But this will be the only a small part of the 42 problem.
42 is figure that is also mentioned in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
42 is the answer of all my questions. And that's may be the motivation why I want to be part of it. If you ran a marathon you can answer all questions about running - all "do" and "don't" topics. As owner and author of several running groups, it is more or less an duty and the same time an accolade.
